Diese Werkreihe ist der Natur der Alpen und der besonderen Stimmung alpiner Seenlandschaften gewidmet. Sie entstand aus Eindrücken und Beobachtungen während meiner Reisen in die Berge, gemalt im frühen Sommer dieses Jahres und teilweise auch im letzten Sommer. In diesen Bildern habe ich versucht, nicht nur die Motive selbst, Spiegelungen im Wasser, Silhouetten der Berge, das Spiel des Lichts auf der Architektur, festzuhalten, sondern auch die Stille, Weite und das atmende Wesen der Natur spürbar zu machen.

Die Gemälde sind in realistischer Malweise mit einem impressionistischen Gefühl für Licht und Farbe entstanden. Sie verbindet das Streben, die lebendige Präsenz der Natur und die emotionale Atmosphäre eines konkreten Ortes einzufangen, sei es ein Bergsee, ein Dorf am Hang oder ein stilles Tal unter dem Schnee.
